Rabinowitz Photography

I love taking photos of anything and everything... travel... landscapes... wildlife... anything I feel should be recorded and shared. Everything on this site is original content created by me. Enjoy!

I like how many points of interest there are in this shot. The ladies buying food from a street vendor on the left, a circle of young boys to the right and the little girl running through the centre adds life to a scene dominated by old, weather-beaten walls.

Leaping off the row boat with fresh water in hand, on a misty morning in Varanasi. I love the subtle pastel colours in the white mist.

This zebra walked nearby my campsite in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi. The subtle lighting gives her an air of elegance befitting of this beautiful creature.

A Rabbi disappears through a tunnel in the Old City in Jerusalem. This area is so perfect for black and white photography with all the texture in the stonework.

I LOVE taking photos of elephants! They are such intelligent creatures. Like this one here…you can really feel the love and bond between these two young elephants.

"Jaws Corner" is called that because many years ago someone had a TV here and played the movie Jaws. People from all over the island came to watch :) Being surrounded by the sea you can see why the movie had such an impact!

This Hyena was so intrigued with my lens, he walked to within a few metres of my car. I like the intensity in the eye contact… I end up staring at his face for ages.

Rain in the desert is a rare occurrence. I was lucky enough to have this shot lined up when a 30 second rain shower came down. A moment I will never forget.

The jasper, cornelian and yellowing marble contrast so well with the turquoise sari. I love how intricate the pietra dura inlay is.

ohidoliketobebesidethesea said: Wow, you photography is stunning! What camera do you use? I was also wondering what lens you used to take 'An Orphans Innocence'? :)

Hey :) Thanks so much for all the likes and for following! I’m glad that you like my photography so much.

I used to use a canon eos1, that is a film back. Mostly shooting on fuji velvia film. Last year I did the switch to digital. Now I’m shooting with a canon 5D Mark II. An orphans innocence was taken on a 16-35mm wide angle lens set to 16mm. She was literally right next to me! :)
